About Us

Our sweet bundle of loveliness joined us in March 2003, and being born on St Patricks Day - we named her Clover. Whilst we felt totally prepared for the joyful moments that lay ahead, I don't think we'd looked much past the tiny baby stage - because now she's almost nine, and at school, it's a whole new bunch of challenges! No longer are we working through sleep issues, or debating the pros and cons of cloth vs disposable, dummies vs thumbs, we're negotiating getting to school before the bell, organising play dates and sleepovers, and leaving notes and teeth for the tooth fairy! What a glorious journey it's been, not just for us, but also for our parents. Watching them enter the world of grandparenting and the relationships that continue to grow and bloom has been simply beautiful.

We live in the tiny village of Bangalow, northern NSW, 10 minutes west of Byron Bay, and an hour south of the QLD border, and to us, it's living in paradise! Running the nic-nac studio from this relaxed and beautiful town ensures we're all constantly inspired.  No crazy traffic getting to and from work, just magical scenery!

Is there anything more life-changing than having a baby? Adding that tiny little helpless being into the mix of your family is so wonderful, but my goodness, the extra skills needed in juggling can be mind-boggling! Baby, pram, baby paraphernalia, changes of clothes, nappies, blankets, sling, carrier - not to mention being organised enough to remember to take with you all the bits you need - it's serious juggling! When we had Clover I thought it was enough to remember which boob she'd just fed from, let alone getting out of the house with all the bits we'd need for a day (or hour!) out and about. THANK GOODNESS for the nic-nac nappywrap which also entered the world all those years ago (8), and after much testing - we are so proud to offer you a fabulous nappy bag and change mat all-in-one which fits EVERYTHING you need, and nothing you don't.  It's packed and ready to go in a flash, and looks cool too!

Too often we see parents rummaging through their huge, overflowing baby bags in search of something, and frequently in need of the pram to help carry everything! With the arrival of the first in the nic-nac range - the nappywrap - we'd literally fixed the problem! No more rummaging, no more losing the wipes, the dummy, and goodness knows what else. Here was a wallet-style bag which contained the essentials for a stress-free outing, was compact and so stylish, and both the mums and dads alike were proud to carry the nappywrap!  Yes!!  Finally - an attractive yet functional nappy-change bag that suited modern parents, and thus, the nic-nac nappywrap was born and quickly added to with the carry-all, miniwrap, change mat ... and most recently our fun kid stuff range - pencilwraps and balloon balls.  We're designing all the time - keep checking back to see what new goodies we have on offer.

In late 2011 we bought the rights to the contigo bottles range and WOW are we all happy!  We've used them for years, so it's a pleasure and a privilege to be able to offer them to you all now.  We also offer a selection of other bits and pieces that we love so much, that we've just had to add them to our online store.  This month it's a selection of awesome teepees and hanging trees, beautiful star lanterns and much more.

In the nic-nac studio we're all mum's (and dad's!) and all feel very fortunate to work mostly school-hours (except when those crazy deadlines loom!) and in an industry which keep us all inspired and challenged, yet able to be there for our families.  For me, the opportunity to be involved in our daughter's life (mumma helper on school trips, volunteering in the canteen!), and also for my husband, who is now a quadriplegic, after a rugby accident in 2007 AND work in an industry which is constantly being added to is a wondrous life.  Sometimes challenging, but always worthwhile!

We have lots of ways that we like to give back to the community, new parents in need, and donating to various fundraisers which you can read all about in our newsletters and on the blog, but if you have a special event or know of someone in need, please be in touch - we're all about the love :-)

Enjoy your nic-nac goodies, and feel free to email feedback or send through a fan photo which we can put up on our facebook fan page.

Subject: Seen a product that is a rip off of yours

Hi,

I've seen a product that is an exact copy of your wrap. Little Individuals on facebook. Exact copy - nothing changed except the pattern of the fabric internally. Denim on the outside.
