nic-nac pencilwraps and balloon balls are the first in a line of products coming out of the nic-nac design studio. Our designer, pattern maker, sewers and even our kids, are constantly coming up with new ideas or reinventing old ideas, and we love hearing your ideas too!
Balloon balls have been around since our grandparents were children, and we've just tweaked the design, reinforced the opening and stress points, and chosen some fun fabrics. They're an awesome toy to take travelling, taking up no more room than a handkerchief in your pocket, and are great for all ages, fun to kick, throw, bounce, boot, whack and bat. Have a store of them in your kitchen nic-nac drawer (the drawer where you have all the bits and bobs that don't have a proper spot - we all have one!) and a bag of balloons, and you'll always have something that the whole family can get active with - both indoors and out, rainy days or sunshine, park or patio - they're great! Oh, and you can use them in the swimming pool - that's loads of fun!
Pencilwraps (or rolls) have also been around for what seems like forever - perhaps they were the first pencil case? - and again, we've changed the design, improved the functionality, and tweaked the look. Sticking with our theme of denim for durability and interior bright cottons for fun, our pencilwraps are extremely practical, compact and easy to use for all ages. And like all our products, are made to last - ensuring they're the perfect gift for anyone, and can be passed on to relatives or friends for generations to come.
In our studio right now we're working on playmats, lego bags, baby shoes, hairclip holders, fairy skirts, costumes, and so much more... check back on our website regularly to see what ideas made it to reality!
from time to time we'll feature products on here which are not our own, but which we just LOVE to much that we have to stock them... they may not be with us for long, so grab them while you can! Currently our faves are;
Crayon Playons from Studio Skinky - these are AMAZINGLY tough, won't break, non-toxic, great colours, a stacking game too - great for little fingers
Fairy and Dragon eggs - always a favourite with little and big kids alike - grow them in water, play with them in the bath, dry them back to their original size and start again!
Paws Claws - similar to crocs, but such a funky shape! They're like slipping your feet into a comfy pair of clogs or slippers, soft to wear, great colours, look so cool - release your inner animal!
